Day 01 · Delhi
- Day 01
Delhi meetup, night drive
Meet the group at a cafe in Delhi around 7 pm for a coffee and a quick game, then board the Tempo Traveller for the overnight drive.
Meetup point shared on the group chat a week before. The bus leaves by 9 pm.
- Day 02
Arrive in Dharamkot
Morning arrival, check in, sleep it off. Afternoon village walk, then a bonfire dinner and introductions.
Dharamkot sits at about 2,100 m. Evenings drop close to zero in late December.
- Day 03
McLeod Ganj and the long table
Tsuglagkhang temple complex and the market lanes, a Tibetan lunch, free afternoon for cafes. Jam session back at the hostel.
Easy day, around 6 km on foot.
- Day 04
Up to Triund, a night on the ridge
With a local guide, up through oak and rhododendron forest to the Triund ridge. Tents, dinner and a sky full of stars over the Dhauladhar.
About 7 km and 4 to 5 hours up. If snow closes the trail we walk to Gallu Devi and stay in Dharamkot.
- Day 05
Sunrise, down, drive home
Sunrise on the ridge, the walk down and a late lunch in McLeod Ganj, then the Tempo Traveller back towards Delhi.
The bus leaves around 6 pm.
- Day 06
Back in Delhi
Early morning drop in Delhi with a group chat that will not go quiet for a while.
Expect Delhi between 6 and 8 am.
