Day 01 · Bhuntar
- Day 01
Overnight bus from Delhi
Board the evening Volvo from Majnu ka Tila or Kashmere Gate. The bus runs through the night to Bhuntar in the Parvati Valley.
About 13-14 hours. Carry a light blanket and a neck pillow; the last stretch is winding.
- Day 02
Bhuntar to Kasol
Arrive in Bhuntar in the morning and drive up to Kasol. Settle in, then a slow walk along the Parvati river and a cafe afternoon.
Kasol sits at about 1,600 m, so no acclimatisation is needed.
- Day 03
Tosh village
Drive to Barshaini and on up to Tosh, a stone village on the hillside. Walk the lanes, lunch at a cafe and return to Kasol for the night.
Tosh is at about 2,400 m; the road beyond Barshaini is rough in places.
- Day 04
Trek to Kheerganga
From Barshaini, walk up through pine forest and past Rudranag to the Kheerganga meadow. Soak in the hot spring before dinner at the camp.
About 12 km and five to six hours uphill. Porters and mules can carry bags for a fee.
- Day 05
Descend and back to Delhi
Walk back down to Barshaini after breakfast, drive to Bhuntar and take the evening bus to Delhi.
Overnight on the return bus; Delhi arrival is on day six.
- Day 06
Back in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi early in the morning after the overnight bus journey.
The published end date is the day you arrive back in Delhi.
